GREAT AMERICAN SONGS ..and the fascinating stories behind them
Based on the popular AUDIENCE SINGALONGS that took place on Sunday and Monday nights during runs in theatres throughout the country, Hershey Felder and his team have created an event, where you can be directly involved and take part with a world-wide audience from home.

CLAUDE DEBUSSY: A PARIS LOVE STORY
A very personal journey through the beloved city of Paris through the music of Claude Debussy (“Clair de Lune,” Prélude à l’après-midi d’un faune …) and how this music shaped a whole new world of color in sound. This new world of “musical impressionism” gave us the beginnings of what we have come to know as “Movie Music.”

TCHAIKOVSKY
Filmed on location where Tchaikovsky lived in Florence, Italy, this production reveals little known personal details about the man and the inspiration for many of his compositions.

NICHOLAS ANNA & SERGEI
The story of Pianist-Composer Sergei V. Rachmaninoff’s last days in Beverly Hills, and how he longed for the Czarist Russia that he knew and loved – all of which made its way into his eternal music.

PUCCINI
Filmed on location in Lucca, Italy, in Giacomo Puccini’s family home, this story features the music of one of the world’s greatest opera composers, and tells the story of his own life and how he expressed his private details through his characters whom the whole world knows and loves.

GEORGE GERSHWIN ALONE
A personal meeting with George Gershwin the composer, the man, and the icon, and featuring his music including a complete performance of “A Rhapsody in Blue.”

BEETHOVEN
Based on Dr. Gerhard von Breuning’s factual “Aus dem Schwarzspanierhaus,” Hershey Felder brings Ludwig van Beethoven and his music to life through the eyes of the Viennese Doctor Breuning who spent his boyhood by the Maestro’s side.

IRVING BERLIN
Experience some of America’s greatest songs in the context in which they were written! From “God Bless America,” to “There’s No Business Like Show Business,” “Puttin’ on the Ritz,” “White Christmas,” “Always,” and so many more… in a musical event that has been performed in theatres throughout the nation and abroad.

BEFORE FIDDLER
The Musical Story of author Sholem Aleichem, and his character creations leading up to the beloved Tevye and his daughters, the basis of “A Fiddler on the Roof.”

BACKSTORY
Russian and Ukrainian immigrants were a massive part of shaping the American Musical Landscape. Irving Berlin (1888-1989), George Gershwin (1898- 1937), and Leonard Bernstein (1918-1990) gave us “God Bless America,” “A Rhapsody in Blue,” and “West Side Story,” respectively, but the “story behind the story” is even more fascinating than we ever knew.
